I've purchased some cool Canadian coins from their Mint before and I recently tried to get an inexpensive, circulating coin set of quarters. Apparently these can only be shipped to a Canadian address. I decided that if they want to make sure that the cheap sets stay in Canada, I should help them keep the expensive one's there too; I unsubscribed.

Have you tried ordering from a coin dealer in your country instead?

Sounds more expensive... I liked the thought of getting them cheap.

Hmmm, on second thought, if they're like the US Mint, I'll get them cheaper on ebay. Good Idea!

Buy anything made by the Royal Canadian mint on the secondary market .. the mint charges a substantial mark-up on all their coins. Usually, you can pick up 80% of their large output/variety for 50-70% of issue price within 3 years. There are more than a few dealers that can buy them at a large discount from the issue price, plus you have the grandkids booty (the recipient of grandma bait) that the RCM spews out. Unless you absolutely positively have to have it, wait a few years and save money.
