No price listed in standard catalogue of world coins

    Hi all

    Was this part of the collection you recently became the owner of? I assume you know this particular piece was minted at Clausthal-Zellerfeld. Last sale notation I could trace was London Coins 2002, $63.00 U.S..
    I don't know how this helps, but there you go. I doubt you will get very far with a Glendenning search.

    It is a 1/3 Thaler Electorate Brunswick Luneburg piece. German mintage. George II was Electorate. Many designs and values-1/4, 1/2, 1 Thaler, etc. The particular piece shown is a identified with IWS below the date. Your next question may be metal: silver.
