Hi all I have checked my standard catalogue of world coins guide for this coin and even though it is listed there is no price for it any ideas?
Was this part of the collection you recently became the owner of? I assume you know this particular piece was minted at Clausthal-Zellerfeld. Last sale notation I could trace was London Coins 2002, $63.00 U.S.. I don't know how this helps, but there you go. I doubt you will get very far with a Glendenning search.
It is a 1/3 Thaler Electorate Brunswick Luneburg piece. German mintage. George II was Electorate. Many designs and values-1/4, 1/2, 1 Thaler, etc. The particular piece shown is a identified with IWS below the date. Your next question may be metal: silver.
I found one here: https://en.ucoin.net/coin/brunswick_luneburg-1-3-thaler-1754/?tid=92134 but it doesn't offer any answer to your question.
