Hi ! YA-ALL, Just visted the US MINT web site and it says there will be no Silver American Eagles for sale until they get more Silver Bullion Blanks. Does this mean if they don't get the Bullion blanks until 2011 there will not be any Eagles between than and now ? What are the Bullion Eagles ? Where do you get those ? "Production of United States Mint American Eagle Silver Proof and Uncirculated Coins has been temporarily suspended because of unprecedented demand for American Eagle Silver Bullion Coins. Currently, all available silver bullion blanks are being allocated to the American Eagle Silver Bullion Coin Program, as the United States Mint is required by Public Law 99-61 to produce these coins “in quantities sufficient to meet public demand . . . .” The United States Mint will resume the American Eagle Silver Proof and Uncirculated Coin Programs once sufficient inventories of silver bullion blanks can be acquired to meet market demand for all three American Eagle Silver Coin products".
the are minting the unc eagle. that is where all the silver blanks are going. they are not doing the "w' unc or the proof unless quantities to meet public demand are made for the non 'w' unc. at least, that is how i understand it. so once they get enough unc silver eagles made, they shoudl start the others.
