    Hey cointalk,
I was recently given 2 notes from my mother, and I cannot find out what they are. Both are in VERY bad condition ( say, Fine) , what are they?

I guess I'm confused. One says it's 2 Rupee's from India the others says it is 5 dollars from New Zealand. Doesn't that explain what they are?

Maybe an explanation of what India and New Zealand are might be in order.

The NZ note is from the 1990s and is still current. The Indian note is from a series that circulated in the 1970s and is still redeemable but not in circulation.

I have a Edmund Hilary note in uncl. condition. I believe it was the first to have that plastic circle in them.
