Spell "Nickel" correctly and maybe I will...

 

Earliest 1890, best nice 1938-D nickel, rarest 1939-D(several examples), earliest foreign 1913 Italian 20 centesimi coin(aka the flying nude coin) last year.

 

My best is a '53 P.

Out of curiosity, who has found any 1953(all mint marks)?

 

I believe I have found all the pre 60 dates and mints aside from the 39 D 50D and 38D.

 

I've found all but the 39d and 50d.

My wife gets annoyed because I accumulate a lot of nickels that i keep on our dining room table because I never have the motivation to put them in flips.

 

I'm just missing an S. I have 2 P's and one D. Hopefully I will find one someday.

 

I have found all and even multiples of the 38 and 39-Ds, but still no 50-D.

 

I have been CRH for about a year and I have found all pre1960 nickels except for the 1939S and the 1943D War. I found a 1950D back on February 2nd. Also, I have found numerous Buffalo Nickels (my earliest is 1915 plain) and I have found 5 V-Nickels (earliest is 1897). I like searching nickels...quite the variety.

By the way, has anybody ever found a Shield Nickel while CRH?

 

Interesting, so pretty much everyone except me has found the 53.
