In the last nickel box I searched, these die chips were found. They are all 2015, however, 1 is a D and 3 are P's. The die chips are all in the exact same place. Each die chip is found on the reverse of the coin in the last "O" of Monticello. Is anyone else finding these die chips in their coin roll searches of nickels? Please let me know if this has been a common find for a 2015 D or 2015 P. Thank you for any information or help on this subject.
The die chips you've shown us are not identical. There is no way to tell if these chips represent a progression unless you can find a marker on all of the coins which proves that they were produced by the same die. For example, if there was a die scratch or die gouge on the coins that was exactly the same, then you could prove that they came from the same production run. Chris
