Is there any nickel variation site similar to coppercoins for cents? I have done a lot of nickel searching recently (found a 1950-D yesterday actually, didn't realize how nice a find it was at first...) I have noticed a few nickels that tend to have slightly rotated mintmarks and mintmarks that are extremely "low", near Jefferson's profile...
No there isn't.....yet that is. There used to be a site called varietynickels.com that had a small listing. When the owner got rid of the site I bought it....I worked hard to get some of the variety listing back but it seems that there is a copyright over it and that is what I've been working on. Hopefuly before long I'll be able to find a way to get the listing back up and going. There are some great books on nickel varieties.... Speedy
Here's some others (as I wait patiently for Variety Nickels to build back up.) http://www.shieldnickels.net/top20/top20.html http://www.libertynickels.org/variety.php?SID&page=variety
Until Speedy can get his site back up you can get some books that may help. Try this site for them. www.telecoins.com/books/nickels.html
