Nickel: Error or PMD?

    I found this nickel roll hunting, curious whether it's a mint error or not.
    The 'flakiness' on the perimeter of the coin seems to be metal as opposed to an adhesive of some sort.

    Looks like a dryer coin to me. PMD.

    Thanks, ya I'm still learning when it comes to errors, figured there may have been a chance of it being some sort of striking error.
    Oh well. I'll keep looking and combing through books, having the knowledge to identify errors takes quite a bit of research.
