NICE! I've been pleasantly surprised by the number out there. To date I've found 9 of them and 1 "V" Nickel in 4 1/2 months of searching including a G/VG 1918-D which actually is an upgrade from the AG-3 one I owned.
That's some nice finds. How many rolls searched to find those? I received an ok condition 1954-S nickel in my change 1 day last week. And I thought that was interesting. Haven't searched many nickel rolls to claim any victories, but you have some decent luck it seems.
I get around a dozen penny rolls from the bank every week Smojo and always get a nickel roll...or 2....Some weeks nothing....Some weeks Bingo!
I grabbed a few nickel rolls the other day and found a few circulating s MMs from the late 60s, since you're also on the east coast, do you find s MMs in your penny rolls? I've been thinking of giving that a try to get some San Fran cents for my wheat folders...
VERY rare for me to find a S coin...penny or nickel, ect....Always brings a smile to my face when I do find one...
Thanks! Not often you find a $25-30 coin floating around in circulation... and I added my 10th Buffalo to the herd today along with another War Nickel.
You must be out on the East coast... out here on the West coast, I run into a lot of S minted coins... I'm around 200 combined pre-55 Nickels and wheats with the S mintmark since I started CRH nearly 5 months ago... I found 3 39-S nickels (my avatar) in an 11 day stretch at one point. And I also found a 68-S proof Half... The tough coins out here on the West coast are the scarce date Philly nickels... It's always a thrill to find a 1950 or 1955 Philadelphia nickel, or a 1954 Philadelphia penny...
Wow.....Now isn't that something.....I bet 80-90 percent of our coins over here in the east coast are Philly....Denver too but Philly Philly Philly...... If you want, I will trade you some P's for some S's
Sounds good... the main coins I'm needing are: Nickels: 1942-P, 1950, 1955, 2009-P Cents: 1954, 2009 (all 4 varieties) Dimes: 2009-P I have pretty much all of the modern S mint dates in quantity except for the 1938-S, 1939-S & 1942-S nickels, and the 1955-S cents. I run into the tough 1949-S and 1951-S nickels, along with the 1943-S War Nickel pretty frequently, believe it, or not. You want to take a guess at what 2009 Philadelphia coin is easist for me to find? Would you believe the 2009-P NIFC half????!!!! Message me, and we can work something out.
Been busy and haven't been on the internet...Ok! I will look around and see if I can find what you are looking for....Remember though that some Philly coins have no mint mark....Let me print your list and I will get back to you.
Oh yes... I know... P mint marks didn't start on nickels until 35 years or so ago... except for the War Nickels of course.
