I went to the bank yesterday and got a box of nickels. When I got home and opened it the only thing in it was rolls of unc 2004 P Peace Medal. I noticed that there is an error for this date (I think its CONECA number is DDO-001 and cherrypickers its FS-05-2004P-101) and was wondering if it was worth my time to break open rolls and search 2000 nickels for one. Also was wondering if anyone else has this DDO. Thanks Nickeldude
The variety is popular although the interest has waned since 2004 but still command a nice premium. I can't say if it's worth your time to go through the box but I think I would even though I have one. If I can find another it would be sweet.
Well I'm going to look through them and right now I'm 0/640 but will keep you posted. Hopefully I can find one. ND
I think I'd keep a few of those bank rolls as the 2004's are the more pricey of the westward journey nickels.
