    Very nice addition @panzerman

    Heritage description;
    Washington, DC- The Metropolitan Bank $3 Feb. 3, 1854 G6d
    The bank was a rarity by DC standards in that it was actually open for business for three years from 1852 to approximately 1855. This attractive variety has a red "THREE" protector and a redemption endorsement done in striped letters. PMG grades this lovely example Gem Uncirculated 66 EPQ.

    Thanks Steve...

    Yeah, My main love are AV coins from 650-1850. But I also love all obsoletes US/Canadian. But the DC ones are really beautifull. My personal view, US/Canada obsoletes have never been matched in engraving/magnificent vignettes/ and the prices for these lovely historical notes are amazingly low in cost. The same holds true for coinage, produced 1600-1850....one big difference is that these command very high prices in high quality.
    Thats why I also got into these notes.

    Beautiful note! I really like the "3" counter in the lower left.
