Very nice addition @panzerman Heritage description; Washington, DC- The Metropolitan Bank $3 Feb. 3, 1854 G6d The bank was a rarity by DC standards in that it was actually open for business for three years from 1852 to approximately 1855. Thanks Steve... Yeah, My main love are AV coins from 650-1850. But I also love all obsoletes US/Canadian. But the DC ones are really beautifull. My personal view, US/Canada obsoletes have never been matched in engraving/magnificent vignettes/ and the prices for these lovely historical notes are amazingly low in cost. The same holds true for coinage, produced 1600-1850....one big difference is that these command very high prices in high quality. Thats why I also got into these notes.
