Got this for free from my coin dealer. I bring him lots of business so he pays me in Morgans. I was searching through his world coins and came across this Brazil 1908 2000 Reis. He threw it to me for free, got a good relationship going with him now. Beautiful coin!
Nice pick-up sir. That is a big silver coin. I recall when I bought a similar coin. I was surprized at how thick & heavy it felt in hand.
It does feel very heavy 0.9 Silver 0.5787 oz. actual silver weight. It feels heavier than a Morgan though. I did check it with a magnet and it check out. Unfortunately it doesn't have any Numismatic value even with such a low mintage.
