Nice little Kreuzer from the 1200's

    Picked this one up on VAuctions today, not the greatest shape but I like it...

    Tirol, Meinhard II, 1271 - 1295 AD
    AR Etschkreuzer.
    Obv: COMES TIROL, Eagle facing.
    Rx: MAINARDV, Double cross.

    The cross on the reverse of that coin from Tyrol reminds me of the reverse designs of the 'Short Cross' silver 1d. coins from England.
