Here's a BU 1912 with some nice detail. What grade do you guys think it is. Thanks for any help.

Just me but that does not look uncirculated.

Also, what do you grade it at?

I would say around MS64 RB. It does have nice luster and clear fields, so I'm guessing it's in the mid MS range.

The scratch on the jacket and the marks on the reverse O, E and N keep it from being BU or MS.

Marks keep a coin from being MS...what about bag marks?

    It looks wiped to me.

The scratch is not wear and will not keep it from being an uncirculated coin. However, if the scratch is severe enough, it would make the coin a problem coin in which case the TPG grade would be UNC Details--Scratched.

Personally, I think the scratch is right on the edge of severity and I think the coin would net grade to MS62 RB.

The scratch is too deep. You can see the copper shining underneath the scratch.
It's not a minor scratch or bag mark.
I thought perhaps the photo was taken through a holder and that's where
the scratch is but it doesn't seem to be the case.

MS64 but for that scratch that should cost it. Darn bad break.

Lots of hairlines under LIBERTY. Looks dipped and cleaned. AU or Unc Details.

  16. Not really sure of a number grade, but I would only buy it at AU pricing. The coin just seems off to me.

How does it compare to the PCGS photograde app?

This coin looks right with MS63/64.
I see nothing what keeps this coin away from a straight grade.
