Hey everyone.... Just picked this up a few min ago......my first $1 1917 Note. It is a high end AU note with very nice color...what do you think about it? This will be put away for my young son..... RickieB
No scanner...Nikon D2x with 105 mm Lens with 3x close up lens. Manual settings ISO 125 with shutter speed of 2 sec There ya have it.. RickieB
That's a very nice note. The back of it looks like the saltire of the St. Patrick's Cross flag from Ireland, the Scots flag,& the familiar battle flag of the Confederate States of America. Aidan.
Hello Aidan... Thanks for taking a peek and you are correct on the observations...I just could not pass this note up! regards, RickieB
Another SUPERB addition Rickie ... you do need to stop though!!! and i mean it!!!! as i continue to upgrade my note collection to a higher grade, i do not need you competeing with me .. all it will do is drive up the prices.. so - you need to stop!!! i mean i could stop too .. but what fun woudl that be
Beautiful and interesting note. I wonder why the government didn't print anything about these notes being backed by silver or gold. What does the scene to the left of George Washington depict?
To the left side of George Washington is a scene of Columbus aboard the Santa Maria with his crew as they sight land in 1492. That is all I know so far..pretty cool huh?? RickieB
Thanks everyone for stopping by to take a peek....I appreciate your comments. Regards to all... RickieB
LOL..DaggerJon... I am sure there is enough for all of us...but ya have to get up pretty early to catch the worm!!! RickieB
Rick, those are cool smilies that you dug up.The fridge one is THE coolest one,as it is so hot that it's almost cool. Aidan.
