It certainly is an attractive coin. No offense but are you sure it is genuine? Draped Bust Dollars are a popular target of counterfeiters and raw examples always warrant a careful examination.

I am very concerned about the raised lump just above the curl below Liberty's ear and the non-uniform denticles on the reverse (especially along UNITED). The die crack from the D in UNITED and across STATES is a little lacking in detail in places. Die cracks can be picked up by a counterfeit die but the often miss some of the finer details.

I suggest you take a very close look at your coin to determine if it the genuine article.

He said that it is a 1/2 dollar, not a dollar.

    and a beautiful coin.

Wow - very nice half. Look at those details - the feathers are wow also. Looks like another MS coin.

DOH!! Pay no attention to me.

I need to start looking at the forest before focusing in on a leaf of a tree.

Don't worry the quality of this coin knocked me for a loop also and I had to look for a few minutes.

I snagged it out of an auction a while ago. The coin is nicer than my pictures show in regards to light pastel toning the coin exhibits. I just can't get enough of the draped, capped, and reeded edge halves. :D
