I Have a NGC slabbed token Grade AU details Environmental Damage.

My question is- If the envirmental damage is PVC or another sort of ongoing damage, would NGC just slab the coin? In other words could the damage be continuing after the slabbing process or would they have done something to halt the process before slabbing?

I don't think they would slab it if the PVC was still active.

Correct, none of the TPGs will slab a coin that still PVC residue on it.

What they are saying Lack is the coin was previously damaged by some sort of environmental contaminant. They are not necessarily saying that it was PVC either. There are many things that can damage a coin.
