NGC Puerto Rico 25C Mint Cancelled...Mint Error?

Hi. This is my very first thread post. I submitted this mint cancelled Puerto Rico 25C to NGC and I have 2 questions.

1) The NGC label states that it is a mint error. I have never seen a waffled coin encapsulated by NGC with this description. Has anyone else seen one?

2) The coin is in a new type NGC holder. I have never seen a cancelled coin in the new type holder...most are in the old style holder. Anyone seen any in the new holder?

what does this error go for money wise ?

 

Cancelled 25C in NGC holder can go for about $25.00 - $50.00. A raw 25C maybe $15.00 - $30.00

 

Hi again...looks like I just found the answer to my own 2 questions. Yes and Yes! Found this cancelled $1 coin for sale on another website. It is also labeled Mint Error and in a new holder.

Beautiful waffle coins that still have an image! I have been searching for a waffle that has an image or faint image. Very nice
