Wow. How on earth do you keep a proof coin from 1937 (the 5-Sov) in such pristine shape? I assume these were raw before NGC received them? Right after the Depression, I would have imagined that it was incredibly hard not to spend or sell these? Rich-people problems, I guess...
All I know is that I love the look of that label. The purple tones of the label against the rich gold of the coin is just immaculate. I never seen anything quite like that Roman medallion, either.
I think I've got one of those Sovereigns in my change from Dunkin Donuts, oh shucks no it's a dollar coin. I'll see if I get one tomorrow.
