Not sure this is the right section but could anyone tell me what the Price guide for NGC has to say about the market price of this set. I know it is a guide but at least it would give me an idea. Someone is selling this set on the bay. Asking $200 or best offer. Trying to put together a nice set of WWII coins and was thinking about this. Thanks
well, numismedia says that al in MS67 are about $318 for a collector so $200 seems to be a good wholesale price, but jeez, for $65 you can have them all in MS65 and for $107 you can have them all for $100-110. If you are building a registry set then go for the $200, if you are just interested in a nice set find some nice 65's they aren't hard to find. I have 4-5 sets of zincs in 65 or better that I've picked up for a song.
Here is one for cheaper, and by a reputable dealer and one of our members: http://02a7097.netsolstores.com/1943-dngcms-67c-83.aspx stainless
$200 is not a bad price, but you can probably beat it if you spend some time on eBay. I have seen them go from $40 to $100 each lately - and I have no evidence that the $40 was impaired of the $100 better than the norm.
Hate to ask it, but if the '43-D pictured, there (and, below, for reference), is a NGC-67, what's this '43?
Neck and that one under RIB on reverse? Is that it? Just trying to understand what might possibly take it down that much, I really don't know.
Yes, the mark on the neck, the spot close to 9 the scratch at 3, and on the reverse the scratch under OF. there looks to be more, but the pics are too bright and seem to hide some other distracting things. I think it could make MS 65 on a good day though. stainless
