Just got this email from NGC:

    "NGC Associate Membership Now $25

Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) is making its expert and impartial authentication and grading services more accessible than ever.

The Associate level of NGC Collectors Society membership, which grants direct submission privileges to NGC, PMG and CGC, is now only $25 per year. Associate Members who renew pay just $20 per year."

More info on the NGC website.

I'm an ANA member so I don't have to join to submit to NGC -- unless they changed that.

That membership level is the one you should never pick which is why they lowered it. The next one up you get equal credit in the form of grading vouchers where the lowest membership is free money to them.

i "joined" several years ago when i submitted 2 different batches of ancients($150.00-6 coins). i am still a member, but i don't pay any membership dues. But i mostly collect ancients. it's a good company and i trust them in their grading/authentication.

Just remember they don't guarantee the authenticity on ancients.

I don't know what you got against TPGs, but your hatred of them is well-documented.

Well, right at this moment, I'm in a fine Italian restaurant, enjoying my after-dinner Anisette. I don't know why you had to know that. I replied because I'm a troll, I like getting on people's nerves. Not all people, just some people.
