I bought a couple AGE bullion coins that were already NGC-slabbed. Is there any reason to leave them in the slabs? They seem to generally sell for a bit above melt regardless of whether or not they're graded... Looking at the NGC population report, MS69 and MS70's aren't all that unique for recent AGEs... So besides the slabs taking up a ton more space, is there any argument for leaving them in the slabs rather than putting them into AirTites?
I wouldn't even consider taking them out of the slabs. You'll get a higher sale price if you ever sell them and they'll do a better job of keeping the coins safe.
I'd say leave them in. You might be risking damaging them by taking them out, which you definetly don't want. But ultimatly it is your call. Phoenix
I free coins from there slabs all the time, I say unless they are overgraded, MS 70's or you have plans on selling online leave them in. If not free them!
i'd say leave them in too. i'd be to clumsy and probaly scratch the coin. slabs are pretty good storage for them too.
unless you have no room for them ( I cannot imagine that being the case ) leave them slabbed by all means, for reasons already mentioned
