They got them monday. And today is wed. I did the 12 day thing. I cant wait for them to start getting graded and see what grade the will get. I sent an uncirclated 1969s penny which k look double die to me,1907 indian cent,1909 vdb, tilted d quarter,a 64 proof quarter, and a 1897-0 Morgan dollar. I hope i get good results. Its like Christmas cant wait to get them.
Very nice. I plan on sending some coins in very soon and am already excited to see what they will come back as.
The 1969-S that looks like a doubled die is most certainly a coin featuring machine doubling and will not be a doubled die. I write this not only because true doubled die 1969-S cents are quite rare, but also because if you found one there would be no question whatsoever that it was strongly doubled.
i'm curious to see how long it actually takes them. please keep us informed. im planning on sending some out friday myself
And just like Christmas, the anticipation is sometimes much better than the actual event, especially when you get coal in your stocking. Being a pessimist, I always figure worst case. However, in your case my young friend, I wish you the best, and hopefully you'll be pleasantly surprised. Likewise, it's always a good thing to be prepared for disappointment.
i havent sent coins to NGC since they went to the edge view holders, i dislike the prong overlap on the coin. although they improved to smaller ones.
really? i actually like they way it looks because i think the white touching the coin takes away from the coin
Good luck Joseph! They received a batch of 25 from me about a week ago now...but mine aren't 12 day, I think they are 21 days for the slowest tier I submitted.
thats alot of money spent on grading exspecial for most thoes coins in less there in realy good shape grading cost to much and i realy dont like slabs but then again stuff i collect is cheap
Awesome, I'm anxious to know how things came back. I'll probably be sending a large stash out for grading over the winter, so I'm looking forward to the same experience.
I recently sent in 1 coin to fix a "Mechanical Error" as it is known to NGC (wrong variety on the slab label) and it took a full month from the time I sent it out registered mail till the time it was back at my house. This was one coin with an advertised turnaround time of 5 working days. Shipping in total was a full 2 weeks of this time. Hopefully this gives you an idea...
Some of you have to remember that, both, NGC & PCGS can take longer than expected when they have much of their staff at the major shows. I always try to avoid submitting coins around those times and the peak period betweeen the holidays (Thanksgiving - New Years Day) Mid-to-late September is usually a good time. Chris
I was going to join NGC to some coin slabbed in the Blackspecial holder. Well I received an e-mail from one of the large modern dealersand decided to buy one from them
