This new tier accepts all uncertified gold coins, both vintage and modern, except coins requiring an NGC Oversize Holder. Maximum value $3,000 per coin. • NCS Modern + NGC Grading — fee of $28 includes both NCS conservation and NGC grading. I think we all got this. Most of the services offer this now, but it doesn't always save the coin, and rarely will it ever improve the grade.
For as long as I can remember, NCS has never claimed that conservation might improve the grade. They have said that it might improve the eye appeal. There's a big difference. The only thing that some people should be aware of is that sometimes conservation may reveal hidden problems that might prevent a coin from getting a straight grade. Chris
