Did anyone have positive experience by submit coins with air-tite to NGC? I have checked their list of acceptable protection products, but it didn't explain details on it. I wonder if it's better to use air-tite with ring or without the ring?

The purpose for this thread is to analysis and ensure the coins has less motion during transit to NGC headquarter.

    Thanks.

I believe NGC states that all coins must be submitted in 2x2 or 2.5x2.5 archival flips, not capsules or air-tites of any kind. The only exceptions are GSA Dollars, flat packs, and cross-over coins in another TPG's holder. I don't believe they have changed their submission form policies lately, I will have to take a look.

    Air-Tites are acceptable:

Also was wanting to mention that i just sent off one coin in an airtite this last shipment, and no problems what so ever. Coins should be back in another week id imagine

Yeah it went fine. Received my email saying they were shipped out and all came back as expected grade wise. Fairly pleased with the outcome actually. Already planning another shipment of coins.

The coin I sent in the Air-Tite was a higher end coin and it made me feel better to send it that way. No problems I could see other than them keeping the Air-Tites and 2X2s. Lol. They must have a serious racket going on with all the packaging they keep.

I'm going to hold my own contest in a couple of days to celebrate my 100th CT post. I just have to get it figured out in regards to what I would like to do. I hope you get a chance to enter.

BTW: Thanks for letting me know that NGC does accept Air-Tites, from now on I will submit all my coins within them because they would protect better during transit.
