NFL Contest

Well, as next Sunday will be the first game of the NFL Preseason, I decided to start my first contest to celebrate. This will be a long running contest, so if I happen to forget about it until February, someone please remind me sometime near. Entries for this contest will not end until the beginning of regular season, and the results will be announced sometime after the Super Bowl. The rules are as follows:

1. Entries to this contest will no longer be accepted after the first game of the regular season's beginning.

2. Only one entry per contestant, and your original guess can not be edited after the entry period is over.

3. The winner will be based on the contestant who has the highest amount of points after the Super Bowl.

4. This contest will be void if there is not at least 16 contestants at the end of the entry period.

5. Most importantly, HAVE FUN!!!


Points can be earned in several different ways. Points can be earned by correctly guessing the following things:

-Winner of the Super Bowl; 150 points; Max of one guess

-Participants in the Super Bowl; 75 points per team guessed correctly; Max of two guesses

-Team with the lowest overall record for the season; 50 points; max of one guess

-Correctly guess the MVP for the Super Bowl; 250 points; Max of 2 guesses

-Guess the teams that will finish with a record of 8-8; 50 points per correctly guessed team; There is no max number of guesses for this one, but each guessed team with a record other than 8-8 will cause a deduction of 15 points from your total score.

-Guess a player that will play in the regular season, but will be taken out for 4+ weeks due to injury; 65 points; Max of three guesses.

-Be the first to guess the sport that I play for my school; 40 points; Max of one guess.

If the winner of the Super Bowl is from either Philadelphia, San Fransisco, or Denver, that is the mint thy your prize will be from. Other than that, I am not sure of why the prize will be.
