    1830 Augsburg. "Augsburg Confession" Medal by Loos and Pfeuffer, Whiting-659. Beautifully toned, this medal was issued to commemorate the 300th anniversary of the Augsburg Confession.

    Very nice ! If memory serves you must have quite the collection of medals by now :)

    Your medal brought back a memory of my own, a ducat struck to commemorate the bicentennial of the Augsburg Confession. Different design than that used on the medals, but same basic purpose. And I don't know that I've ever posted it here before.
