This one has a large chunk scratch on the obverse at 10am. But I felt the color and the seller's assurance that the luster is booming insanely offset that. I trusted dealer from teh PCGS forum advised me that NGC should grade it, though I suppose its always a 50/50 shot with these colors:

Photos aren't the best, my guess is the coin is rather black in hand, but held up to the right light, and BINGO!

What I think is funny is that a dealer from the PCGS forum said NGC would grade it. That is priceless. (Because I bet ya' both companies wouldn't) Although they are still both inconsistent.

I like the purchase, just minus the scratch...

I meant PCGS forums. Sorry about that. Just a regular collector/dealer that posts there, not an employee. I think the coin will probably look more like this in hand based on the darkness in the corners. But I like dark toners so not a biggie if it is that dark:

No I know what you meant, reread my posts, I think there was on typo I'm off to fix now.
A dealer from the PCGS forums said NGC would grade it, that is Kool-Aid drinking at its finest, that dealer probably thinks so high of PCGS, and they would call this coin AT and scratched, but thinks that NGC will call the coin NT and not scratched. That is my speculation of what that dealer said. Although I've heard more ridiculous statements on that board.

Did he give you any reason as to why to NGC would grade it?

P.S. For some reason I highly doubt that is what the coin will look lie in hand.

Well in his defense I asked him specifically about NGC because I have the bias you mentioned lol. Ive seen wilder toners in NGC plastic than PCGS in certain series' and I like the NGC grading and holders better for world coins so...

Well, at some point I can agree with you on the holder thing, toners look better in NGC plastic, and really, world coins look good in NGC plastic, ALL COINS LOOK GOOD IN NGC PLASTIC! :D But that is just about as subjective as grading.

Don't think for a second that PCGS doesn't grade monster AT coins, because they do, just like NGC. Both are inconsistent on how they grade and what they determine to be market acceptable. The pics, and the edited pics still aren't good enough for me to determine whether it is AT or NT, when you get the coin in, try posting your pics, I'm dying to know what it looks like.
