One of my most recent purchases, finally got around to imaging it the other day. The luster is quite amazing on this one. Any and all comments are appreciated. :)

Nice Daniel! It certainly shows that the coin images ( unless showing a mintmark or such) can fool you when they are greatly enlarged and every small scrape shows. When I look at the large images and saw the small marks, I was thinking MS-63 or max MS-64, then when I saw the smaller ones, I realized I had underestimated. :)

    thnks for showing it.

Yes. When I saw the enlarged image I thought a lower grade also. MS65 is awesome. nice looking coin, sir.

Same here! It is amazing how pictures can be misleading. Very nice coin!

    Great coin DJ !

I agree with desertgem. I can never take photos of Morgans which look as good as the real thing. The photos always exaggerate micro-luster grazes.

This one looks like a winner ! :thumb:

    Nice coin

MS 65 seemed like a high grade ~

Do you know what year it was graded?

I bet the luster must be awesome coin in hand.

looks like it also has some obverse rim toning~ Does that really pop C.I.H ?

    Bad guess on my part

OK, straighten me out. I'm no expert at grading. At a glance it's a nice coin enhanced of course by the magical " CC."

Obverse: I see partial toning, full Liberty and good hairlines from forehead down. Lots of bag marks.

Reverse: What I consider considerable wear on the breast feathers. Lots of bag marks.

Again, I have almost no grading skills. A beautiful Morgie but MS 65? I'm stunned how far off I was taking a stab at the grade. It's slabbed, everyone agrees, it's back to the books for me.Tell me where I veered wildly off course.

    Take me to school.

Except the school of "The Empty Bank Account" if I screw up grading.

Nice coin , the pictures must be exagerating all the marks , just by going from the pics I'd say MS-63 , but then it has the CAC sticker so it must just be the pictures , really like to see it in hand , like the toning too .

Hmm, Spock the Mysterious? Can I assume you might not agree with MS 65?
