i got it about a week ago. halfs arent really my thing too much but for 100 i couldnt stop looking at it. it is a big improvement over the 2 i already have. the pics arent as bright as i would of liked but are well detailed. i would grade it XF with about 35% luster remaining. the toning is what really sold me with the sharp blue.
any opinions and comments are appreciated.

Congrats. That's a nice looking coin. May have an old cleaning but that's nothing unusual.

nice pick-up! looks slightly cleaned, though.

5th star down has some blue. Toning or cleaning mark?

Nice addition. And yep old dipping with the retoning - but then again a lot of these are that way. Got a few myself. Love these old bust halves.

cleaned - no. old dipping and retoning i would believe that. it does have a very natural look to it. alot of blue and light rainbow toning around the stars. less around the date, bust and reverse.

i dont know alot about overtons but ill get there in time.

The real beauty in this old coinage comes in the simplicity of the design. Coins today are way too busy.

I certainly would agree this statement.
