Strayed again from my core, but was really drawn to this well engraved, appealing baptismal medal.

ND (1630). Saxony. Engraved and initialed by Sebastian Dadler. Obv: Baptism of Jesus Christ in the Jordan. Rev: Two angels, a tree to the sides, above the dove of the Holy Spirit. View of a baptistery in which a priest holds a child over the baptismal font, around it parents and godfather, above the dove of the Holy Spirit in clouds. Wiecek 68. Maué 88. PCGS MS-65

physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

Any time I see a zohar newp thread, I know that I will not be disappointed.

I opened, I saw this enormous, gorgeously toned medal. And I was not disappointed.

    Fantastic newp!

I absolutely love the different textures - stippling for the granite, feathering for their gowns, wisping for the clouds.... This is truly a work of art.

Dadler medals are the best; nice purchase.
