Picked up this neat large cent error off of the bay a little bit ago, it came in today. I placed an offer on his listing and it was accepted. I thought I would share. It has a minor misaligned obverse die and a large detached lamination on the reverse. Any opinions on grade are welcome. Also, any ideas on how to get rid of the black crud around the stars and crevasses? I have already brushed the coin with some blue ribbon, it appears to not have any affect on the encrustation. 1854 N-8, Grellman die state B. R-1.
