Newfoundland 5 cents 1941 C, doubled 4

    Below for comment find images of a Newfoundland 5 cents, 1941 C. The '4' appears to be re-punched. I have been unable to find any reference to this doubled '4' variety online or elsewhere. Any premium for such and item?

    Yes, there does appear to be repunching on the 4. The notched corner indicates it is not merely machine doubling.

    It might be interesting to a few specialists, but for the most part minor varieties on world coins like this do not garner nearly the same amount of attention as US coins. So, really, unless it gets published in a magazine or journal, the premium will be small.
