I just recieved my latest addition to my numismatic Library:

EARLY MODERN GOLD COINS From the Deutsche Bundesbank Collection
Author: Ursula Hage-Jahneke & Reinhold Walburg w/ Annelore Schmidt
Translated into English by Edward Beasly
    1985

This is the third and last of three volumes on gold coins by Deutsche Bundesbank from the collection of its Geld-museum. It contains several pages of historical information regarding the coins presented. Early Modern coins presented are from 1500 thru 1800. It contains 79 Fully illustrated enlarged color Plates of gold coins with a full page detailed description for each coin. The coins also have a B/W illustration of each coin in its actual size. The coins selected were important in the development of the monetary system or interesting historically or on account of their designs.
Its a large hardcover book 9"x12" and contains over 200 pages.

It is a beautiful book if you like world gold and if your like me, always looking for detailed descriptions or history on the coins you own or are interested in.
The first two volumes are on (1) Ancient Gold and (2) Medieval Gold. I'm looking for the Volume 2.

If anyone is interested in a list of the coins plated just PM me. (EX. 1545 England Crown, 1557 Flander Half-real, 1586 Utrecht Ducat, 1714 Japan Kobankin, 1790 Belguim Lion d'or, 1640 France Louis d'or)
