Hello everyone, I just signed up on this board, seems like some wise people on here. I am just starting to collect, or pay more attention, to coins, and I already have quite a few. The biggest one stumping me is the attached 2006 North Dakota Quarter. It's different colors , There are lines on both sides, and the right buffalo has an "L" in the middle of his body, any thoughts or ideas? I cannot find anything in this. These pictures might not be the greatest, I will get better pics up later. Any help would be greatly appreciated, and I'm looking forward to learning and chatting with y'all..
There looks to just be corrosion. I have seen quarters similar to this one that have been dug up by metal detectors, so it's possible that's what this is. I don't think it is anything significant find . You win some, you lose some (Sadly, for me, I seem to be better at the 'losing' part). :bangg: ...Also, :welcome: to CoinTalk!!! Brian PS: Regarding whatever "L" marking you see on the reverse buffalo; It is nearly impossible to tell what it is with the photographs you've included.
