My Grandmother passed away last year and recently my Mother gave me some of the coin sets she had hanging on her wall. Not sure if they are worth anything, just wondering? The first one is a set of State Pennies from 1974. Second Set is called The Pioneers featuring stamps from the Northwest and Liberty Heads. There is six coins in the set with differant yeras on each. Some of the years are 1939, 1940, and 1944. I can't make out the other years. The Third set is called The FortyNiners. It features stamps from California and about 6 Liberty Head Nickels ranging in the following years 1907 , 1910, 1911, 1912. Just wondering if any of these have any value. Any info is appreciated. Thank You.
:hail:Welcome. While they all have some value, the most value is from the fact that they belonged to your grandmother. That makes them priceless. :thumb: Those sets usually contain low grade coins that are not worth very much, but if you can take some decent pics and upload them for us, we will help you with their value.
The "state pennys" are none too common but there is virtually no demand at all. Since they are alterred coins they might never attract very much attention. They are interesting and there are several different series of these.
They are worth something being that they came from your grandmother but as to selling them, well, i would just hold on to them. They are probably not worth much at all. Sorry
Updated Well I finally got around to posting some images of the coin sets I recieved from my grandmother after she passed. I'm not sure if they are worth anything and can't seem to find any mention of them online. I know the images aren't the best. Just looking for some info on them. Thanks in advance.
