I recently went to the ATM, made a withdrawl. I was just looking over the money, not sure why since I don't really collect. Well..... I found some interesting things. First of all I found a New $20 star note, not so rare or interesting (I'm guessing) but still nice. Second I found 2 sets of 2 consecutives on these New $20's... Third and in my newbie opinion the most interesting... 3 in a row consecutives all starting with 777 and ending in 1, 2, and 3 - on once again New $20's... Now since I don't know much about this I was wondering if these have any collection value? They're all crisp, no folds, no rips, no nothing really, actually they're kinda shiney, not wet but a slight shine. -- Well thanks for reading, any and all comments are more than welcome. If you want a picture I'm sure I could do that. P.S. Added the picture, hope that helps.
brohymn - As I am not a currency collector - afraid I can't help you out much on this one. I do know that many collectors do like consecutive serial numbers. But seeing as how the new 20's have just come out - it's kind of hard to NOT get them with consecutive numbers - at least at the banks. But if you were to hang on the notes and keep them in pristine condition - there will likely be a collector who will appreciate it in the future. That is of course if you decide not to collect them yourself The star notes are collectible though and many do collect those.
I guess I will have to hold onto them. I've held on to my comics for about 10 years so this shouldn't be too hard. I just have to get some protective holders. Thanks tho, that makes a lot of sense.
Great observation! Good to pay close attention in order to find anything unusual. That "slight shine" is a good point.
