Newbie Here! Is it special or just another quarter?

I have an odd looking quarter. It has no date.
The reverse is blank; I can’t see swirl or sanding marks. It looks like something circular was attempted to be added but didn’t work. With the naked eye, I can make out some lettering on the edges. When I look closely at the edges, the copper isn’t placed between silver layers; the reserve doesn’t appear to have been finished with silver.

Is it just a misfit quarter?

This is heavily damaged. The scratches all over show that it was sanded. The wording is because the damage was done to a perfectly good quarter to start with. The line in the center may be caused from a Dremel. In any case, 100% damage. Keep looking!

The date is 2020, barely visible. The damage is all post mint. The value is still 25 cents, barely.

    DEFDAM - Definitely Damaged
Altered Quarter. In many cases only the person who deliberately made the alteration would know why it looks that way.
It's not a mint error of any kind unfortunately.

FYI - Quarters are cladded with Cupronickel. Not any silver finish.
