Hi guys I recently started collecting coins and was doing some sorting out. I have for ex a 1912 1 pence and a 1917 1 pence. Should I keep both in my collection? thanks
Hi, It often helps to have examples of coins in lesser grades for comparison purposes in building a a higher grade "collection". Have you chosen a specific area for you to build your collection? World Coins, U.S. Coins etc and any specific denominations?
Okay then, if you like world coins, then do what goossen said, keep what you like, get rid of what you don't like We are just here to help, not here to tell you what can and can't or what should and shouldn't be in your collection
I don't mean for you to consider collecting two of every animal but you could mount one obverse facing forward & one reverse facing forward. I've done that. Let us know how your world collection progresses & POST PHOTOS:smile.
For one thing WELCOME TO THE FORUM. IF you do not need the money, keep every coin you can. In the far future you may well be able to exchange your extras for something you don't have. Like I say if you don't need the money why even considering getting rid of any of your coins.
