This last release of the Sea Life Reef II Perth Mint Series is the Manta Ray, perhaps the nicest of the series yet released. Two subspecies seem to exist, one deep water and the other a reef fish. An enormous animal with reports of Mantas reaching 30 feet in diameter, they are largely filter feeders and pray on fish larve and plantom. The deep ocean manta, the larger of the subspecies, show up near reefs to find fish that clean the parasites off of their bodies. Their tails do not pocess a stinger.
