Has anyone ever had an Item just STOP at the , ISC NEW YORK NY(USPS)..
I can follow my tracking to there.. Then Nothing.. it has been nearly 12 Days there..??
I called and there is a message that says.." if your tracking starts with a R" Mine Does.. " then we have no info on your items and will need to contact the USPS.. The USPS says they can give me no info on items in Customs..
It was US Currency being shipped from Turkey.. Only 100.00 Bill.. Am I now on some watch list.. Dang...

    Any help.. past experience?

I bought some notes in mid-January from a seller located in Costa Rica who forewarned me of the slow processing of items going into the US these days. He was right! He sent the notes in a standard business envelope with the notes via Registerd Mail from CR to USA and it took 4-5 weeks to reach me! Sit tight and it will be even more exciting to open them up once they finally reach you!:hail:

Don't really know how these things work in your country, but yes, a registered letter will always have an item/tracking number that starts with R. (Also, if the letter is from Turkey, that code will end in TR.) And it makes sense that the postal service cannot tell you how long such items are kept by US Customs.

Now the customs office will of course have some info on your item. But I suppose they do not want to be called by thousands of people every day. ;) So if I were you, I would try and be patient. How long does a plain letter take from Turkey to the US, a week maybe? Add two or three weeks for customs, I'd say - after that you or the sender should place an international investigation request ...

Unless there were inaccurate or false declarations on the forms. Once had some gemstone rough from Africa held for nearly a month because the custom form the seller filled out, indicated "specimens with no value".
