My goodness, there are a lot of hooved beasts in the "zoo" series of Gallienus! Almost all of these hooved animals have the DIANAE CONS AVG legend because Diana was the protectress of artiodactyls and other such animals. Here's a new acquisition and we haven't had a zoo thread in a while (a while being a matter of opinion, of course). So, if you're not too bored with the subject, let's see some zoo animals! Here's an atrocious Gallienus centaur with nonexistent reverse but a rather nice reverse. Here's my best zoo, the common antelope. The coin is virtually as-struck, with amazing details on the portrait and a great appearance.
Great new coin! Here's my similar example but left facing tasty gazelle with XII in the ex. I'll help fill the Zoo further later. Gallienus - Rome - RIC V-1 181k
Dang good looking neck beard RC! Oh, and the one on your coin is great too I've loved the zoo ever since I escape the place
