Been a coin guy most of my time in this hobby but I found this note while doing my first stack hunting. Does this bill carry any extra premium?
I sold these 5 fancy serial bills for $10.01 + shipping. There were 4 bids, to give you some idea. I also had put some star notes from circulation for sale but they don't sell as well as fancy serial numbers.
I I handle a lot of cash, both at the register and in the back office counting money. These were bills from circulation and it seems $10 star bills are the most common but these didn't sell.
I'm not very experienced in paper money stuff, but I've noticed serious serial collectors mostly look for low, binary, repeater or radar numbers. Yours doesn't fit any of the ones described, but I can see some collectors paying more than face for it. I think it's pretty cool.
I been doing a quick scan of serial numbers of about $7 - $9 grand, 5 times a week in all denominations and did find some good ones. I think there are people who play liar's poker likes those dollar bills with at 5 or 6 repeating numbers. Here's the best one I got, sold it for $189 buy it now option.
I am new to the paper money seen of collecting. I have been looking up serial numbers and i got the idea for the most part. I got a twenty dollar bill with the serial number if 22201111e i know it does not fit the list of what i have saw so for but is it worth hanging on to
