This looks like a 1985 P under the loupe however I'm not sure if this is an error or not. Judging from the thickness and overall condition it doesn't seem to be polished or worn down to this point. Sorry for the bad pictures, I was using my phone looking through a loupe

    Error or worn down?

    Thanks for looking,

I really can't tell from your photos. They're a little too blurry (for my poor eyes). Larger photos would be better, too.

This is what I get for selling my camera to make up for that gold eagle I bought haha. I will see about getting a larger photo. I have a scanner but for some reason it dislikes coins.

I'm inclined to say it's not an error so much as a poor strike or something along those lines.

I was thinking that, too, or maybe even a grease-filled die, but the obverse rim between 6 & 9 o'clock has me concerned.

Alright, here's what I could get from my scanner. Going to buy a camera tonight :)

Yeah that rim looks iffy to me. Not sure, just doesn't seem worn thickness wise. I found it at work so it's been pretty heavily circulated.

I could tell that was a 1985 from the moment I saw it. They are very common to find in that shape when you roll search...something about the quality of that year. The E in DIME is often poorly struck on the reverse and lots of greasy looking obverses. I just throw them back now, but I think I kept my first few. The quest now is to find 1985's that dont look like that.

Very cool, thanks for the info. I will be on the lookout for nice 1985's also :)

Reverse definitely looks like grease-filled die. Roosevelt's hair also looks to have been struck through a bit of grease, but I'm judging on the lack of hairline details, which is common even on coins that WEREN'T struck through a grease-filled die. Obverse from 4-7 o' clock I'm not too sure of... Let's wait for more opinions. :)
