Good Evening and thank you for looking at my question. Does the half moon ridge at the 1130 to about 1530 on the heads side mean anything or this a standard stamping mark? 1980 P Heads.jpg 1980 P Tails.jpg 1980 P Heads.jpg 1980 P Heads.jpg 1980 P Tails.jpg

    Again thank you

Appears to be an off-center strike and while only slightly off-center the double rim makes it more pronounced... Not sure it's enough for a premium in that condition, but a very interesting find without a doubt..

    Mis aligned die.
On off center would show on both sides.

Not a Liberty but a Washington quarter.

No. A finned rim sticks up like a dorsal fin.

Nice find and a slight MAD or mid aligned die but it’s only worth face value.

    Sweet!
    Thank you.
BTW. Is there any kind of "picture Book' out there showing errors to include clad? I have a 2020 with a minor gold hue, and 2 GW 2021 that are looking a darker gold ( see attached). Searching the net is a pain and I really hate bothering folks out there by asking elementary questions.

Not elementary. Just basic questions most folks have when entering the hobby.
The golden tone is a common first color on most coins. It is natural. The multi colored quarter is most likely environmental damage. Think cup holder or something like that.

Just toning and the gold color is usually first to appear.

One of the things that I started to collect coins is to keep a journal of important information. It's amazing how much information there is out there. I keep a journal for each type of coin. Having been a state auditors for 30+ years, I find that it's difficult to remember everything that folks tell me. Coupled with my Whitman books, Red Books, and many other published information helps me. My itty-bitty brain can't recall everything folks tell me.
    Best of luck.
