I ran into some coins that a friend wan't to get rid of for no good reason and i think maybe they might be worth something. I however wouldn't bet on it so any help is greatly appreciated thanks.

Ok we got a confederate coin set and the got my attention because there is a 1789 50 cent piece i believe nice condition and it's a proof set

he also had a 1927 susan b anthony

also a 1977 set and a 1962 silver quarter which i would have put in the pop machine in a second.

    a nice 2000 susan b

some merry christmas dollar or something

rolled nickles from the 40's and from the 50's 2 sets in the 40's

then pennies from 1909 to 1958 2 rolls

and one from 1959 to 1975.... some of these aren't that old and can't be worth much more then face value, however the sets looked good and that old coin was bad and the old susan b seemed bad to the bone.

i hope someone can give me at least an idea of what this would be worth to a real person not a coin collector. I don't wanna have it if there is only like 1/10 of .01% of the population that may be interested

I'm not sure exactly what coins you have - but I am fairly certain the Confederate coins are reproductions. There's no such coin as a 1927 Susan B Anthony or a 2000 SBA. As for the rolls of cents - their value would depend on condition.

Yes, condition is everything. look them over, look up what you think there worth and make an offer. Good luck, Norm

really no 1927 susan b so i wonder what kind of coin it is then

the proof sets probably are replicated so therefore does that mean they aren't worth jack

and the pennies and the nickles are in rolls but i noticed he seemed to keep the ones which he thought were valuable in plasic and they aren't so their condition is probably compromised

the 1927 coin must be a silver dollar then i guess i don't have a clue if i can tomorrow i'll get some pictures of the coins and post them ok

The last Susan B. Anthony $1 coins were struck in 1999,but the original issue of 1979-81 was rereleased into circulation at the same time. The Sacagawea $1 was issued only in 2000.I haven't seen any $1's dated 2001 onwards.

Most likely a Peace Dollar. She's a lady but not Sacagawea.

The US has struck the $1 Sacky every year from 2000 to date in both Proof and business strike. However - the coin was only released into circulation in the years 2000 & 2001. For the remaining years the coin was struck only for direct sale to collectors by the mint.

The reason for this is because the Federal Reserve system still has more 2000 & 2001 $1 coins than they can use.
