In case anyone is interested, Daniel Carr posted up a bunch of new overstrikes on the Moonlight Mint site early this morning.

    Many are selling out quickly.

I do like his stuff but I'm not a fan of the cancelled die stuff. An off center double struck would be cool if it were not cancelled.... Make that a die clashed double struck off center Morgan fantasy and I'm buying....

The thing with the cancelled dies is these are the actual dies used by the Mint to product the original coins. They have to be cancelled or the effort would be counterfeiting.

One must consider the history of the creation.

Looks like more than half are sold out already. Here is a catalog of what sold and is no longer available.

I realize that some of the cancelled dies are original mint issue but I'm still not a fan. That's just me. X doesn't mark my spot.

It was Christmas in October. So many new offerings in one release. What will be next?
