My friend turned me onto a new website and he purchased an 1847 seated dollar, in au 50, and it got my juices flowing, as I have always wanted a Seated dollar, so I purchased this 1873! the last year in the series and I am very happy with it. I know I’ve been absent for a while, So please excuse me, but I want to post this, now, to share with you guys. Have a great Sunday!! Mark Feld gave me his seal of approval, so I am really psyched!! Arguably, the best eyes in the business! AB65DDA9-473A-4CCE-93EB-F6FBD0694220.jpeg 333A4141-1FFF-4010-AF0C-B3A54EA0BBF7.jpeg

    VERY nice.

Are you going to do a GTG with this coin?

By the way, your title presently identifies this as a half dollar.

That's a beautiful dollar, if only we could see the cartwheel effect.

A really nice coin. I would enjoy that addition, myself!

Really nice coin, saw the thread on CU and it's MS! Very scarce as although the mintage was close to 300,000, many were melted. cool to have such a nice one from the last year of production. Oh you may want to change your thread title to "New 2x Seated Half"

The coin looks extremely choice to me, but I have a sneaking suspicion it is a victim of rim filing.

I’m not seeing it, as the rims look very clean to me.

Since you have the coin in hand, I'll trust your eyes instead of my own . . .

Au 58 would be my guess maybe a plus and/or Star. It is a super lovey coin I just see a touch of wear on the eagles left wing and liberty's hair and foot. I also would not be surprised by an MS grade

Best I ever owned was an 1860-O MS61. @Randy Abercrombie has it now. They’re so hard to find in UNC and so spendy! Here’s one I just sent to PCGS. Think she’s an XF40.
