I got this quarter and noticed it has a small crecent moon of silver across the top and the rest of the quarter it is missing. the only silver is a small crecent moon on the top covering the words united states of and the rest of the silver layer is missing On the back only half the quarter has silver plating. Anyone out know anything about it???
Based on the pic I'm not sure I understand your question. The quarter looks quite normal in the pic. The area around United States looks dark - but that's it. If the clad layer was missing - what you should see is the copper underneath. I see nothing that appears to be copper colored. Is it just the picture that makes it look silver colored and does it really look copper colored in person ?
