Nice coin - I really like older world coins with portraits. This was a pretty turbulent time in Portuguese history...Miguel reigned just a few years before being forced into exile.

 

Thanks for the nice comments. I agree, Portuguese coinage/ including Brazil are prolific/ nicely designed and very affordable The ones from Goa are a tad crude.
